Sarah and Elizabeth: Europe Part 2 (and Semana Santa)

(Part 1 being that awesome band tour of Europe.)

Sarah visiting was awesome, of course, but I won't recount everything we did (basically just a sample of everything I've been doing all semester...). Instead, enjoy the random selection of photos.

Elizabeth and Sarah in front of the Alhambra! (At San Nicolas lookout...)
And, of course, we went to my favorite Carmen de los Martires. Just in case you've been missing it...
Purple flowers galore! Plus Sarah and Elizabeth, just to mix it up a bit...

And, you guessed it... PEACOCK montage!

I'll throw the end of Semana Santa in there as well, just for good measure. The rest of Semana Santa (our trip to Rome and Paris) will be coming some day... In all likelihood, when I'm back in Minnesota. I'm not going to waste any of my precious Granada time, even on this blog. The clock is ticking and the days are slipping through my fingers.

Go Spain!

Watching the Semana Santa processions was the strangest thing, mainly for one reason: they look like the KKK. Having grown up learning about how horrible they were, my reaction to seeing people dressed in this was, no matter how much mental preparing I had done, was nothing short of sheer terror. One of them came up to some lady near me and talked to her, and I was absolutely petrified. My heart was beating so fast, no matter how illogical I tried to tell myself my fear was. In spite of that, the processions were quite fascinating and festive, with everything from spongebob balloons to strange coconut nuts (I would not recommend them...) being sold along the streets.

Tune in the week after I return for everything else that has happened since. I expect that is when I will catch up. 2 weeks left in Spain, and no words for how sad I am.
